Privacy Policy

MediPeque is an app for keeping track of the medications your family takes: who takes what, at what dose and when. This policy explains what we store, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and the app contains no analytics or tracking SDKs. This website uses Vercel Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without identifying who you are.

What we store

Your account: the email address you sign in with and the name you choose. There are no passwords — you sign in with a one-time code sent to your email.

The people you look after: the name you give them and their usual wake-up and bedtime, which we use to lay out the daily schedule.

Medications: name, dose, schedule, duration and any notes you add, plus a record of every dose marked as given or skipped and the time it happened.

Your medicine cabinet: the medicines you have at home, their quantity, concentration and expiry date, and any photos you take of the boxes.

Medical reports: the photos or PDFs of the doctor's report you scan.

Sharing: when you invite someone with a code, we record that the two of you have access to the same person's medications.

Health information

Medication data says something about someone's health, and often about a child's. You are the one who decides what to write down. We use it only to run the features you see in the app — showing upcoming doses, sending reminders, keeping the history and sharing it with the caregivers you invite.

Photos and reports processed by AI

When you photograph a prescription, a doctor's report or a medicine box, the image is sent to Anthropic so that its Claude models can read the medications, doses and schedule and fill the form in for you. Anthropic processes it under its commercial API terms, which do not use this content to train their models.

If you would rather no image leaves your device, you can skip the scanner and enter medications by hand: everything the scanner fills in can also be typed.

Where the data lives

Everything is stored on Google Cloud in Belgium (europe-west1): the database with your account, people, medications and dose history, and the object storage that holds the photos and PDFs you upload.

Sign-in codes are sent through Amazon Simple Email Service.

Who can see it

Only you and the people you have invited to a given person's medications. Anyone you invite can see that person's schedule and history and can record doses; you can revoke their access at any time from the app.

Beyond that, we share data only with the providers listed above (Google Cloud, Anthropic and Amazon SES), each acting on our behalf to run part of the service, and with anyone we are legally required to disclose it to.

How long we keep it

For as long as you keep the account. Deleting a medication, a cabinet item or a person deletes their data, and deleting an item that has photos deletes the photos as well.

To delete your whole account, write to privacy@medipeque.com from the address you signed up with and we will erase it, and everything attached to it, within 30 days.

Your rights

If you are in the EU, you can ask us for a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, take it elsewhere, or object to how we use it. Write to us and we will answer within a month.

The legal basis is the contract between us: without this data the app cannot do what you installed it for. For the health information in it, we rely on your explicit consent, which you give by entering it and can withdraw by deleting it or closing your account.

If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to your data protection authority — in Spain, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es).

Children

The app is meant for adults keeping track of medication for their family, which usually includes children. The account belongs to the adult, and it is the adult who enters and controls the children's data. The app is not directed at children and we do not knowingly let a child open an account.

Changes

If we change anything meaningful here, we will update the date at the top and, when the change matters, tell you in the app.
